Endless political violence: Hoodlums Kill Three In Governor Yero’s Campaign Rally

Daily Trust reports that the chairman, Media and Publicity Committee, Yero/Bajoga Campaign Organization, Yakubu Lere made this known on Wednesday during a press briefing in Kaduna.
Lere said Yero’s motorcade was pelted with stones by hoodlums in four major towns during campaign rallies.

The media officer said Yero’s campaign team was attacked by hoodlums allegedly sponsored by opposition groups in about four major towns during which three supporters were killed.
“Governor Yero’s entourage was attacked several times at Udawa along Birnin Gwari road, Bakin Ruwa in Igabi LG, Panbeguwa in Kubau LG and Ungwan Bawa in Lere LG,” he said.
Lere further hinted that sponsored thugs destroyed several billboards and vehicles belonging to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in various sections across the state.
Recall that there were reports last month that the major opposition party, All Progressive Congress (APC) and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is reportedly building up tension in Kaduna State.
Meanwhile, the special adviser to Governor Mukhtar Yero on Information and Communication Technology, Mr. Waziri Ashafa, had earlier called on the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, to desist from violence ahead of the governorship election in the state and caution his supporters.
However, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the state Nasir El-Rufai was reportedly attacked by Nigerian soldiers.
