BREAKING: Britain Votes To Leave The European Union

The historic referendum held in the United Kingdom Thursday to decide whether they decide to stay in the European Union or leave it, has returned a verdict for the so-called Brexit camp.
With over 30 million people voting in the election, the highest turnout since 1992, the leave camp has polled 52% of the total votes cast, in contrast to the 48% of the remain camp, with less than 3% of votes yet to be tallied.
In short, Britain has voted to exit the European trade body.

The mostly cosmopolitan London voted overwhelmingly to stay, but most of England outside the capital recorded huge wins for Brexit. The remain camp’s other major win was in Scotland, who have made it clear they prefer staying in the EU.
The results does not mean Britain immediately exits, but the process should soon kick off, although it could last up to two years. Brexit’s main proponent, UKIP leader Nigel Farage, has called on PM Cameron to step down, hailing the result as the Kingdom’s ‘Independence Day’.
