PHOTO: Port Harcourt Residents Witness Solar Eclipse

Residents of Port Harcourt today witnessed the solar eclipse as expected. You will recall that the National Space Research and Development Agency (NSRDA), announced that Nigerians will witness a solar eclipse between 7:15 am and 10:03 am on Thursday, September 1, 2016, though with slight variations in actual timing across the country.

Those who witnessed the natural event in Port Harcourt confirmed that the sun rose fully at about 8:03am, the sun ray was so high that one could not look at it with bare eyes. Afterwards, the sun started going dim gradually and was almost covered by the moon, forming a dark atmosphere as shown in the photo image.
