The Problem of Automatically Trusting Someone Because He/She is ‘God-Fearing’

When a woman lists the qualities she wants in a man – first on the list is ‘He should/must be God-fearing’. It’s always the ‘Godly’ man because they attach ‘goodly’ to his godly nature. That is their choice of man they want/need and their reason/s for wanting such men is not far- fetched. However, the automatic ‘goodness and trust’ they ascribe to a supposedly ‘God-fearing’ man is what is very enthralling. Ask them who a God-fearing man is and they’ll quote Bible up and down for you.

We trust others because they earned that trust or vice versa but fortunately/unfortunately (depending on the angle from which you’ll look at things) being a fellow God-fearing club member is enough to gain the trust of some people. People have realised this ‘get things quick’ scam so much so that they are very quick to display ‘God-fearing’ traits to get what they want. They use that to cover their true nature because by hook or crook, his/her fellow brethren will trust totally without thinking things through.

What you should understand is that if you’re God-fearing (or not), being a good person does NOT guarantee that others will be or should be good too. You only have control over yourself and how you choose to be as a person. Don’t erroneously use your goodness or ‘God-fearingness’ tape measure to measure others and expect/think people are and should be like you. We are co-existing  in this world so definitely we trust to a certain level but my rule of thumb is don’t trust to the extent of being careless or foolish.

I’m not implying you shouldn’t trust but if you want to trust people with something valuable, trust them through reasoning, by your own accord and when they’ve earned your trust but not because they’re ‘God fearing’ or they’ve been recommended by someone who quickly threw in ‘he/she is god fearing’ bait and you have no one to blame when things go awry but yourself.

If a ‘whole’ pastor can employ scary looking men to guard him while preaching the word of God, that should tell you that he doesn’t even trust his congregants are God-fearing enough and you’re ever ready to throw caution to the wind because you believe your brethren is God-fearing? You need deliverance!

I know you trust in God and people who fear him but please better tie your goat securely to avoid a ‘God fearing’ thief taking it away for their ‘Sunday special’.  Being a fanatic of ‘God fearing’ people doesn’t mean you should lose your sense of reasoning when dealing with them!

He/she is God-fearing is a disguise, don’t fall for that scam. A bad/good person is bad/good whether he fears God or Satan or doesn’t fear any at all!
