World's Oldest Living Person Title Passes to 116-Year-Old American "Gertrude Weaver"

Pending official Guinness World Record approval, 116-year-old Camden, Arkansas resident Gertrude Weaver is now the world's oldest living person. Born in 1898, her life has spanned three centuries. Of the four other living people also born in the 19th century, three others are also American; one is Italian and all are women.
In her last birthday, Weaver said she considers "kindness" her secret to a long life."Treat people right and be nice to other people the way you want them to be nice to you," she explained. She also revealed that Bible study and wheelchair dancing are among her favourite activities.
The previous oldest living person, Japan's Misao Okawa, died Wednesday aged 117. She had celebrated her 117th birthday in March.

You will believe me that there are much older people living in Nigeria, but have not been made global for the Guinness World Record.
