9 annoying things about shorts and how to fix them

There's no graceful way to pick your shorts out of your crotch. Or is there?
Here are 9 annoying problems you face wearing shorts and you can also learn how to fix them.

1. They fit great in the morning, but by the end of the day, they're saggy and draggy.
Solution: Shorts with stretch will hold their shape much better than those without.
2. They leave your arse hanging out in the back.
Solution: Your best bet is to either choose a longer style or to go up a size so the shorts fit across your bum and then have them taken in at the waist by a tailor. That way they won't be squishing your arse down and out of the leg holes.

3. Two words: thigh-chafing.
Solution: The most straightforward solution to thigh-chafing is to wear longer shorts. Choose a style that is fitted through the leg to minimize chafing inside the shorts.
4. They keep riding up (also, camel toe).
Solution/Real Talk: A certain amount of ride-up is inevitable. That's just the cost of moving. But if your shorts are riding up and getting stuck, you may want to consider something a little looser.
5. One side seems to ride up more than the other.
Solution: It could be that the shorts are not perfectly symmetrical, so one leg is tighter than the other. Or it might just feel like they are not symmetrical because your legs are slightly different sizes, or you take slightly longer steps with one leg than the other. Whatever the reason, you best bet is still to choose a slightly looser style.
6. They are making you muffin top like whoa.
Solution: Choose high-waisted shorts for a smoother silhouette.
7. The front gets wrinkled every time you sit down.
Solution: Wrinkles are unavoidable, but they are much less noticeable if you stick to thicker, textured fabrics like lace or denim, especially if your shorts are on the tighter side.
8. Your underwear shows through.
Solution: The next time you are shopping for light-colored anything, keep in mind that transparency is often a combination of flimsy fabrics and a too-tight fit, so the tighter something is, the thicker you want the fabric to be to keep it from becoming see-through. That said, laser-cut underwear that matches your skin tone will help your shorts seem less transparent than they really are.

9. Those cute little silky shorts just end up looking like pajamas.
Solution: You'll look less like you stepped out of the house in lingerie if you avoid pastels and lingerie- or loungewear-inspired details like lace and drawstrings.
