Rivers State Government Blocks Source of Black Soot In Port Harcourt

The case of black soot experienced by the populist of Port-Harcourt metropolis is expected to come to an end, after shutting down of the company responsible for the black soot by Rivers state government. The hazard soot has been plaguing the state's capital, port-harcourt in recent times with potential harm to the environment.

A statement signed by Austin Tam-George, the rivers state commissioner for information, reads;

''This is to inform the public that a Chinese construction company, named CGC, located on the Obirikwere-Airport Link Road has been shut down on Friday, the 10th of February, 2017, by the Rivers State Task Force on the Black Soot.''

IJAW GROUP GIVES GOV. DICKSON 7 DAYS TO REVOKE ALLOCATION OF LAND TO HERDSMEN

A coalition of Ijaw Groups across the Niger Delta region under the platform of Ijaw peoples Development Initiative IPDI,yesterday gave the Bayelsa State Governor a seven day ultimatum to revoke the allocation of 1,200 hectares of land the state Govt allocated to Fulani herdsmen for grazing or face a mass shut down of all Govt facilities across the state .
Also Mothers of Ijaw Nation led by Niger Delta Activist,Ms Annkio Briggs have slated a Mass protest in yenegoa, the state capital on the Feb 14 to occupy the state until Governor Dickson Rescinds his Decision.

PHOTO: Late Kaduna Female Corper Who Died Last Week, Set For Burial In Port Harcourt

Female NYSC member serving in Kaduna, who died on 3rd February, Vivian Uchechi Wobo is set to buried this morning at her father's compound in Rumuodomaya, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Vivian had passed on in the early hours of Friday, February 3rd, after a brief illness.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.
