Fani-Kayode Sues APC Spokesman Lai Mohammed For N5bn



The Peoples Democratic Party Media Campaign spokesman, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Tuesday, demanded the sum of N5 billion as damages from the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Lai Mohammed, for alleged defamation Daily Independent reports.

Mohammed in response to allegations by Fani-Kayode that Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, had taken an oath to quit office in six months to enable Tinubu replace him, called to question the mental state of Fani-Kayode.
Several newspaper reports that Mohammed was quoted to have, in response to Fani-Kayode’s statement, said: “No, we have never and will never wish anyone any ill-health.”
However, Fani-Kayode said the remark contained in the statement by Mohammed about his state of mental health are defamatory.
Fani-Kayode, in a letter by his lawyers, Whyte Prekunomaa of Raji and Co, demanded an apology from the APC National Publicity Secretary, the sum of N5 billion damage or face legal action.
Fani-Kayode’s lawyer said the statements made on his state of health as well as all issues ascribed to him are not true.



Meanwhile the Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has given Peoples Democratic Party Media Campaign spokesman, Femi Fani-Kayode a seven day ultimatum to apologize over his “defamatory statements” against him.
