For Brides: 7 tips for mapping out your fitness plan

In order for you to look and feel good on your big day, you need to be fully focused and balanced both physically and mentally.

Planning a wedding comes with its own share of stress and of course, excitement - dress fitting, choosing your bridal accessories, sorting guests lists, etc.
These tasks are time consuming and may also take a huge toll on your health if care is not taken.
In order for you to look and feel good on your big day, you need to be fully focused and balanced both physically and mentally.
To help you get in shape ahead of the wedding, you need a good workout regime, as well as the right diet.
Here are seven tips to help you map out a perfect fitness plan:
  1. Eat healthy complex carbs such as oatmeal, brown rice and whole grain bread, in the morning before your workout.
  2. Reduce your sugar intake if you must take it with your coffee. Coconut sugar is also a great substitute.
  3. For snacks, eat a vegetable, fruit, or some almonds about two hours after.
  4. For your lunch, eat proteins, vegetables, and perhaps a little more carbs if you had a tough workout. Some excellent choices are quinoa, sweet potato or whole wheat pasta.
  5. It is not advisable to wait till you are hungry before eating again. Instead, have another fruit or veggie or yogurt, two hours after.
  6. End the day with a very light dinner combined with protein and vegetables or salad.
  7. Remember, it is important to avoid trans fat, that is, anything fried, or white bread, white rice, white sugar. Also, do not eat late at night.
